Reign Storm

Culturally creative sampling that drove column inches

Energy drinks have an image problem. The category is loud, artificial and increasingly out of step with how a generation actually wants to live. Reign Storm is different - natural 'clean' caffeine, real goodness, but being different isn't enough when earned media doesn't want to touch the category and when shelf visibility is limited. We needed to do something the product alone couldn't: create a moment that made people taste the benefits of Reign Storm before they'd even cracked a can.


So we built The Energy Bar. A first-of-its-kind venue designed entirely around the clean-living generation, featuring a fitness-wear dress code, Reign Storm mocktails, nutritional snacks, warm-up and cool-down zones, and two 5k runs hosted by iconic run club Friday Night Lights. With the insight uncovered that Gen Z are sacrificing their social lives for the gym because there are simply no spaces that match their values, we gave them one. And we handed them a Reign Storm while we were at it.


The results were everything the brief needed and then some. 50+ pieces of national, lifestyle and listings coverage, 40+ pieces of social content, over 300 attendees and a serious amount of product sampled. But the real win? We proved there's a genuine cultural gap in the market and positioned Reign Storm as the brand bold enough to fill it.
